RANEPA Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (FESS RANEPA) implemented two joint projects with the SKEMA business school in the 2020-2021 academic year, as part of the Russian-French University.
DeLonghi appliance manufacturer commissioned a project to study consumer behavior in online retail. Two student teams, from FESS and SKEMA business school from France and Brazil, worked on the project. The French campus was supervised by Director of SKEMA Bachelor Program Yan Grasselli, and the Brazilian campus, by Professor Victor Barlaca.
The teams studied consumer behavior, independently conducted focus groups and in-depth interviews, analyzed large amounts of data, and developed a formula for assessing the margin to limit distribution.
After the teams defended their project, CEO of DeLonghi Russia Mikhail Pokrovsky noted: “The level and depth of the projects are getting better over the years. DeLonghi will definitely offer you new projects for development.”
The project implemented for SberBank had to do with mapping the client's path after their car has been towed for illegal parking. It was performed by 10 FESS students and 16 SKEMA students.
The SKEMA project leader was Professor Priscilla Malaguti, Deputy Director of SKEMA Bachelor Program.
The project teams conducted surveys and in-depth interviews, created customer path maps, studied best practices in other countries, and proposed several ways to simplify the process of retrieving a vehicle towed to an impound lot. In the final part of the project, the students developed a prototype for a mobile app, which was highly appreciated by the SberBank management.
