In summer, a regular FRU` Business Mission took place, during which negotiations were held between representatives of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), National Nuclear Research University (MIFI), Russian Academy for Foreign Trade (VAVT), UNS, SKEMA BS and NEOMA BS. The participants made sure they’re on the same page as to execution of the instructions by the  Council meeting held in May, as well as discussed current and prospective formats of cooperation. So, in spring and summer on the FRU platform online seminars and conferences were tested. Taking into account the success of these events among students, it was decided to proceed with and expand this cooperation format, including with the prospect of creating an online FRU’s lecture hall. Currently, the work is in progress on a new cycle of videoconferences dedicated to antique drama.

The participants have worked out a schedule of official and academic events for the coming academic year and have already planned two colloquiums to be held on October 24, 2018 in Paris on the topics: ‘Historical Heritage of Marx’ and ‘Intellectual History: View from France and Russia’.

The main topic of the conversation was discussion of current and future joint programs. At present, 13 bachelor’s and 11 master’s programs, as well as a number of summer programs are in place based on the FRU’s platform. Based on the results of the FRU Council meeting, active work is under way to launch new programs. It is expected that signing of new joint program agreements will take place during the regular FRU Council meeting planned for the end of October.

Another important aspect of the Mission was discussion of potential cooperation with enterprises and involving businesses in the educational process. The participants exchanged their experience in this field, however, the discussion was not limited by it, and already now practical work is under way to establish interaction with potential partners.
