On February 27, a meeting between representatives of the French-Russian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CCIFR) with French students from Lyon who were undergoing training within the frameworks of short-term exchange programs at the Department of International Business and Public Administration, RANEPA was held at the RANEPA campus.
Jean-Batist Demont, Director of the Department for Development in Russia and Greguar Chenot, Marketing Director told students about the activities and the composition of the French-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In their reports, they touched upon structural changes in the French business in Russia amid sanctions, modification of the role of the CCIFR due to closing down of the Business France in Russia, as well as the CCIFR’s prominent events, including regular meetings between President Vladimir Putin and representatives of the Economic Council of the CCIFR.
Students showed genuine interest in the meeting and received answers to all their questions about development of business in Russia. Later a meeting was held between representatives of the French-Russian Chamber of Industry and Commerce with the staff of the Secretariat of the French-Russian University (FRU) where preliminary arrangements were made as regards cooperation in attraction of commercial events to the FRU’s educational activities.
