During the course, students will be able to get acquainted with mathematical methods of optimization and control of mobile robots and quadrocopters (including methods of nonlinear optimization, genetic algorithm, limited optimization, etc.).
They will have the opportunity to monitor and analyze real satellite images, for example, to assess the scale of deforestation in the Amazon River basin and learn about the state of Alpine glaciers. In the "Mechanics of Space Flight" section, participants will learn how to determine astronomical coordinates, use Kepler's and Newton's laws to calculate the trajectory of satellites, and much more.
